It would be great if we could have some confirmed “speakers.” I’d like to invite anyone to present something at the next meet!  It would only need to be about 15 minutes long and does not need to be advanced (advanced is cool too, though).

Wordpress’s official video site has great training videos for all abilities, as well as admin panel instructions that are good to send to clients.  Something as simple as “how to publish a post” is a great resource for a client to turn to in their time of need (like when they want to update their site at 3:00 in the morning and you’d rather they not wake you up for some customer service).

I used to use a plugin for this (that was old and seriously touchy) and lots of conditional wp_list_pages() commands.  The new custom menus system is really easy to control.  I can’t wait until it’s out of beta and ready for use on client sites.

I love wordpress for the robust features that it gives its users, and the value we can pass on to our clients. This site was set up in about 10 minutes. Can’t beat that with a stick!

Right out of the box, it is pretty sweet!  I’m trying to iron out the avatar bug (for now, get a gravatar), and trying to decide if this site really needs the “groups” and “forums” functionality. Try it out and let me know what you think
