so it looks like June 13 is the winner for meeting dates – anyone have any requests for what they’d like to talk about?
Some topics I’d like to learn about are theming (both creating WP themes and branding the admin area), ”Best & Worst” plugins (like.. form plugin A vs. form plugin B), improving ”WordPress as a CMS” for your clients, etc…
Maybe we can talk a little bit about this at the first meeting, too? Then maybe we can vote on topics
Great suggestions! I like the voting on topics idea too. We’ll get a feel for what everyone wants to do at the first meeting.

hello all! first of all, Melissa – GENIUS idea, I love it!
Also please consider those that live in Carlsbad and Oceanside….I don’t have time during the week because i work Mon-Fri, 9-5. and by the time I drive down there i’ll be stuck in traffic and I don’t like that. I’d prefer Saturday mornings or Sunday mornings because it’s not in the middle of the day so it’s not like I’d be running errands and then i’d have to stop to drive 1 hr for a meeting and drive back an hr and that just totally ruins any plans I may have made for that day. but in the mornings, like bright and early (9 or 10am) we can meet at a coffee or bagel shop and share our ideas and stuff like that. Or we can meet sundays at Platt cuz the labs are open.Let me know!
I like the idea of using Sunday platt labs time for meetups where we all need internet and computers, but more casual meetups sound good, too. I’ll start a poll soon.
Sundays are good!
So everyone’s planning for June 13th…I MAY be out of town that weekend because my friends at San Jose State are graduating and I wanted to be there. So would it be possible to start the following sunday!?

I’d be open to short meetings at either of the break times (10:00am or 8:00pm), noon weekdays, or saturday afternoons if meeting outside of platt is a viable option.

Hi all,
Anyone have any input as to when they’d like to meet up? on a weekday after class? weekend? thoughts?
Weekends would be good. I don’t know how people feel about meeting on Sunday, but the classrooms would be open.
